Alero Gourmet Treats was previously known as Alero Treats. While our name has evolved, our commitment to handcrafted, delicious desserts remains the same.
It is no surprise that the Alero Gourmet Treats founder would end up owning a baking company. She started baking when she was only 7 years old. While kids, her age would want to play outside and ride bikes, she preferred to be in the kitchen baking or cooking. She would often hold pretend cooking shows for her family. Her love of baking and cooking came from her aunt Bunmi. She would always watch and help her aunt bake cakes and desserts.
Honing in...
As Alero grew older, she honed in on her skills in the kitchen even though she trained in college as an accountant. She would always try many different recipes in baking and cooking. She would always cook for her family, and she started taking cake orders from family friends and her uncles, especially who wanted to impress their girlfriends.
Passion for baking...
Alero has combined her love of desserts with her love for people. She wants to bring sweet memories from her childhood to her customers. The result is a passion for sweetening peoples' lives through scrumptious delicious desserts.
For years, family and friends raved about her delicious baked treats especially our double decadence cookie, which happens to be our best seller and encouraged her to share these treats with the world. Every year she baked and gave away hundreds of her scrumptious baked treats for holidays, birthdays, and parties, and also to her church volunteers. After years of persuasion from friends and family, she finally decided to form a business around her incredible baked treats. In 2008, she decided to turn her baking hobby into a business.
